Brew new.

Tuesday is quickly becoming the new Saturday around here.  The brave warriors of the Hall of Kegasus have been meeting weekly in my garage (the Hall of Kegasus) to play Dungeons and Dragons 3.5.

This week was epic.  We brewed a beer, played the Star Wars miniature game, played D and D and then played more SW minis.

This is Burke, Billings and Bromback Brown Ale.  The name comes from the fake names used to set up a "real" business inside our D and D game. Confused? Jay, Nathan, Ryan and I all teamed up here.  The grain bill is basic:
  3 pounds light malt extract
  1 pound dry malt extract
  1 pound chocolate malt
  1 pound cara pils

Hopped with:
  1 oz. Kent Golding

Yeast:
Pacific Ale Yeast from White Labs

This is going to be a malty friend to spend the afternoon with.   The hops are English and the yeast is West Coast forming a powerful hybrid (not unlike a half-orc).  The warriors of the hall can work up a mighty thirst slaying goblins and this session ale is just the thing.

"By meeting or by battle"

...I think.
